Essential oil
Originating from Southeast Asia, cinnamon bark is harvested from the cinnamon bark tree.
While the inner bark is the source of one variety of essential oil, cinnamon leaves form the basis of another.
Cinnamon bark oil has a warm, sweet smell that is closely related to the well-known dry herbal incarnation.
Of course, cinnamon can be found in different cuisines all over the world, and given its reputation as a "hot" spice, you can only use it in moderation.
